Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) at WSU

CUWiP Kids

CUWiP is an all-inclusive conference, and as such, CUWiP at WSU is happy to introduce CUWiP Kids to participants at our location. CUWiP Kids provides adult-led children’s activities to ensure those without weekend childcare assistance are also able to attend the conference. This program provides children with a wide range of activities led by adult volunteers at the conference location, including art, science, and literacy activities.

Children’s activities will be provided for children 15 months to 6 years. Children under 15 months will have a designated area to play with supervision.  Feeding and diapering for children younger than 15 months will need to be provided by the parent.

Please indicate during registration whether or not you would like to use this service, as this will allow us to ensure we provide adequate space for your children.

Rules

Because these are adult-led activities and not a childcare service,

  • Children who are not toilet trained must arrive in a clean diaper
  • CUWiP will not provide diapers, wipes, or extra sets of clothing
  • All children’s diapering and toileting needs must be handled by a parent
  • Upon arrival each day, parents of children older than 15 months will need to fill out and sign a waiver to inform volunteers of any allergies and allow volunteers to provide approved food to their children
