What’s happening
Saturday, May 6, 2023
Volunteer alongside fellow Sacramento & Reno Cougs at Fat Kitty City, Northern California’s only true cat sanctuary, on Saturday, May 6. Fat Kitty City Humane Society (FKC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter and medical aid to abandoned or abused animals. Volunteers will be assisting with some necessary spring cleaning: clearing the grounds, fixing structures, and anything else the sanctuary needs.
The visitor center will be open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 6 to celebrate the Washington State University Pullman Class of 2023. Festivities will include light refreshments featuring Coug-made treats such as cheese and free souvenir graduation photos, complete with a BVC staff photographer!
Staff will also be available to assist visitors with parking and shuttle information, wayfinding and directions, dining options, sightseeing and other final must-do activities before leaving campus.
Join fellow Arizona Cougs on Saturday, May 6, for a wine tasting created just for you! Cactus Taproom Craft Beer & Wine Bar owner and fellow Coug Carrie Parker ’01 will pour three tastings and one full glass of delicious wine from Washington, which includes red and white blends. A sampling of Cougar Gold cheese will also be provided, and you are welcome to bring your own snacks or appetizers.
Commencement ceremony for the professional Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. Doors will open at 7:00 pm. No tickets required. Event open to all.
