DESCRIPTION:Between the Fabric and the Plant: How to Fix the Void\n\nPresentation and Discussion with Art and Biology Residency recipient Eugenia Resnik\n\nHow does an old linen cloth connect people to their homeland? One way to answer this question is by exploring the connections between a fabric and a plant through observing the remnants of the transformation of flax into linen. At the intersection of the arts and biology, visual artist Eugenia Reznik conducted a research and creation residency to discover and delve into these remnants as both a scientific and artistic object. This project is a collaboration with the Institute of Biological Chemistry, the School of Biological Sciences, and the Department of Arts at Washington State University.\n\nWe warmly invite you to join the presentation closing the residency. We will share the outcomes of this project and discuss the promising avenues ahead.
