DESCRIPTION:On September 29 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., join select awardees of the Black Lives Matter Artist Grant Program for a discussion of the question: Why has art—in all its forms—always been central to thinking about Black liberation and racial justice? Panelists will address historical contexts and recent events in our shared search for racial equity. The discussion will be moderated by Lisa Guerrero, Associate Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence, WSU. This discussion will be hosted live at the museum as well as livestreamed on youtube.
