DESCRIPTION:CAH has organized a seminar series to support first-generation graduate students at WSU. The objective of this series is to provide first-gen grad students with a space where they can share the challenges that they are facing in graduate school. In addition, these meetings will help the first-gen students from various departments at WSU build a community across disciplines.\n\nThis week’s topic is:\n\n“Adapting to Graduate School and Managing Finances.”\n\nThe speakers for this week are:\n\nDr. Donna Potts, Professor and Chair, Dept of English\n\nJessie Padilla, PhD Student, Dept of English\n\nChristina Gerard, MA Student, Dept of English\n\nIf a first-gen graduate student is interested in participating in this seminar, please contact arts.humanities@wsu.edu. Since we provide dinner for our participants, we would appreciate it if interested students informed us by noon (12:00 pm) on Friday (2/10). Please also mention if you have any dietary restrictions.
