DESCRIPTION:CAH has organized a seminar series to support first-generation graduate students at WSU. The objective of this series is to provide first-gen grad students with a space where they can share the challenges that they are facing in graduate school. In addition, these meetings will help the first-gen students from various departments at WSU build a community across disciplines.\n\nThis week’s topic is\n\n“Professionalization: Part 1”\n\nThe speakers for this week are:\n\nDr. Lawrence Hatter, Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, Dept of History\n\nSamantha Edgerton, PhD Candidate, Dept of History, and President, Graduate and Professional Students Association (GPSA)\n\nIf a first-gen graduate student is interested in participating in this seminar, please contact arts.humanities@wsu.edu. Since we provide dinner for our participants, we would appreciate it if interested students informed us by noon (12:00 pm) on Friday (2/17). Please also mention if you have any dietary restrictions.
