DESCRIPTION:CAH has organized a seminar series to support first-generation graduate students at WSU. The objective of this series is to provide first-gen grad students with a space where they can share the challenges that they are facing in graduate school. In addition, these meetings will help the first-gen students from various departments at WSU build a community across disciplines.\n\nThis week’s topic is\n\n&quot;Student Involvements &amp; Scholarships, Grants, and Fellowship Opportunities&quot;\n\nThe speakers for this week are:\n\nDr. Amir Gilmore, Assistant Professor, Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education\n\nDr. Becky James, Research Development Manager, CAS Grant and Fellowship Support\n\nSamantha Edgerton, PhD Candidate, Dept of History and President, Graduate and Professional Students Association (GPSA)\n\nIf a first-gen graduate student is interested in participating in this seminar, please contact arts.humanities@wsu.edu. Since we provide dinner for our participants, we would appreciate it if interested students informed us by noon (12:00 pm) on Friday (2/24). Please also mention if you have any dietary restrictions.
