SUMMARY:Colloquium: Physics & Astronomy – Brian Saam
LOCATION:Webster Physical Science Building, Pullman, WA 99163
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites all to a colloquium featuring Brian Saam, Physics & Astronomy Professor and Chair, Washington State University. Dr. Saam will present their talk, “State of the Department.”\n\nMeet for refreshments before the lecture at 3:45 – 4:10 p.m. in the foyer on floor G above the lecture hall.\n\nAbstract: This will not be in any way a technical physics/astronomy colloquium but rather is intended as a kick-off event for the academic year. It will feature introductions, acknowledgments and recognitions, a brief statement about my priorities for the upcoming year, and where I see the department going this year and beyond. It would be fantastic to have as much of our entire team present for this as possible, so I would like to personally invite the entire department--faculty, staff, grad students, and undergrad students; I will leave time for questions, concerns, and the hurling of tomatoes, as appropriate.\n\nColloquium_Saam 8.30.18
