DESCRIPTION:\n\nTo recognize and honor their transition to nurse practitioner education, the WSU College of Nursing presents each Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student in a nurse practitioner track with a white coat.  The white coat symbolizes a standard of professionalism and care that WSU DNP students will uphold as they wear their white coats while completing clinical/practicum hours and into their careers.\n\nThis ceremony is open to Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) students graduating this spring (2024) and next spring (2025).
