SUMMARY:Earthquake preparedness roadshow presentation
LOCATION:Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE), NE Troy Lane, Pullman, WA 99164
DESCRIPTION:It's not a question of "if" an earthquake will occur, but "when". But what does this mean, what are the hazards in your area, and what can you do to be prepared for the imminent shaking? Many of us travel or live in "earthquake country" but don't know about the earthquake hazards in Washington. Learn more about earthquake preparedness, the earthquake Early Warning system coming to Washington, and enjoy an opportunity to ask questions about our earthquake hazards.\n\nEmergency Management from WSU and Whitman County are pleased to host staff from the Washington State Emergency Management's Earthquake/Volcano Program. Earthquake specialists will be speaking about earthquakes in Washington and how we can prepare statewide.\n\nAll interested parties (University staff or students, private businesses, County Government officials, Safety Agencies, Public Health, Fire, Police, EMS, Security, Volunteers) are encouraged to attend and it is open to the public.\n\nFor more information, please see mil.wa.gov/earthquake or for subject information, please contact Brian Terbush, Earthquake/Volcano Program Coordinator, Washington State Emergency Management. Email: brian.terbush@mil.wa.gov or (253) 512-7075\n\n
