About the event

A public square discussion

Our existence—and the existence of all life on Earth—depends on our natural environment. Population growth combined with globalization, and the increased mutual interdependence that has come with it, have intensified the effects humans have on the planet and the effects that our climate has on us. Founded on the principle of mutual respect for all people without discrimination, environmental justice seeks to provide healthy environments for all communities regardless of color, wealth, or place of origin.

Join us at the CCE Public Square as we discuss matters of environmental justice with experts and practitioners in the field. WSU faculty, students, and community partners will provide insight into what is happening—and what you can do—to understand and work toward equitable and just environmental practices.

This discussion will take place on Wednesday, September 23 at 4 p.m. and will be streamed live via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent out to registrants on the morning of the event.

All Public Square discussions are free and open to WSU students and the public.
