SUMMARY:ESIC FA24 Power Seminar Series: Model of Inverter-Based Resources for Short Circuit Analyses
LOCATION:Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Building
DESCRIPTION:Energy Systems Innovation Center (ESIC) presents, Model of Inverter-Based Resources for Short Circuit Analyses by Dr. Mohammad Zadeh, Chief Product Officer, ETAP\n\nOverview\n\nThe fault response characteristics of synchronous generators are inherently governed by their physical attributes and construction. In contrast, the fault response traits of Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs) are intricately tied to their vendor-specific control schemes and settings. In this ESIC seminar, I aim to elucidate the industry's established methodologies alongside recent advancements in modeling and analyzing IBRs for short circuit analysis.\n\nBio\n\nDr. Mohammad Zadeh is the Chief Product Officer at ETAP, Irvine, CA, USA. He has over two decades of experience in power system protection and control. Mohammad is an IEEE Senior Member and registered professional engineer in the State of California. He has authored about 70 technical papers and holds eight US patents.
