SUMMARY:Exploring Ways to Enhance Inclusive Student Management
LOCATION:Animal Disease Biotech Facility (ADBF), 1855 E GRIMES WAY, Pullman, WA 99164
DESCRIPTION:College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Academy\n\nSummer Teaching Tool Kit Series\n\n\n\n Mini workshops are open to faculty, residents, and graduate students from the College of Veterinary Medicine and across the WSU.\n\n Our model: these workshops are intended to be active learning sessions. Each topic/idea will be introduced, and then the participants will engage, interact, and sometimes begin to create a product.\n\n Practically, we hope that participants will come away from each session with 1 or 2 take-home lessons they might apply to their own teaching.\n\n\n\n\n\nExploring Ways to Enhance Inclusive Student Engagement\n\nPresenters: Monday Inclusive Learning Community Members (Steve Lampa, Sarah Guess, Cassondra Yarlott, Jennifer Sexton, & Philip Mixter)\n\nIn this toolkit series, participants will embark on a journey of exploration, discovering practical strategies to nurture inclusivity within their learning environments. Through discussions and hands-on exercises, we'll delve into innovative methods for engaging students, and creating an atmosphere of belonging and empowerment in the classroom.
