SUMMARY:Faculty Artist Series: Collaborations: Euphonium in Chamber Music, Dr. AJ Miller, euphonium
LOCATION:Bryan Hall
DESCRIPTION:PROGRAM\n\nThis Faculty Artist Series performance will feature collaborations with WSU Music Faculty and students.  The first half will feature a newer work for euphonium, piano, and percussion by Welsh composer Tom Davoren followed by a lovely euphonium and marimba duet by British composer Hannah Drage.  The second half will feature Dr. Yuna Roh on the rarely-played Capriccio by composer Leoš Janáček.  Typically we see the piano in an accompanying role on these types of concerts, but for this performance Dr. Roh will be accompanied by an odd assortment of instruments including the piccolo, Eb trumpet, C trumpet, trombones, and euphonium.  The work will be conducted by Assistant Director of Bands Dr. Troy Bennefield.  Join us for an evening of eccentric-but-accessible and lesser-known music!
