DESCRIPTION:PROGRAM\n\nPROGRAM NOTES\n\nMyths, Legends, and Fairytales for Flute\n\nAssistant Professor of Flute, Dr. Sophia Tegart will be presenting a recital inspired by Ancient Greek myths, Korean legends, and nineteenth-century fairy tales. The concert will feature works by Adolphus Hailstork, André Jolivet, Thea Musgrave, and Carl Reinecke. Tegart will be joined by fellow School of Music faculty members, Dr. Fabio Menchetti, piano and Dr. Christopher Wilson, percussion. Dr. Krista Jobson, Associate Professor of Flute from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and WSU alum Breanna Daley will also be performing on the concert.\n\n\n\nSPONSORED BY ALLEGRO. Allegro is an umbrella Registered Student Organization that represents all music student organizations at Washington State University. Allegro aims to excite and inspire through music by partnering with student organizations to provide funding for world-renowned guest artists to perform and work one-on-one with students on the Pullman campus. Allegro receives generous funding from the Associated Students of Washington State University.
