DESCRIPTION:Equinox is Washington State University's own faculty brass quintet featuring the stellar brass playing of David Turnbull, Noah Austin, Martin King, Sarah Miller and Christopher Dickey. The ensemble will perform two major works for brass quintet. The first half will consist of the repetitively new programmatic work for brass entitled Metal-Music by Michael Kibbe. The ensemble will perform an old warhorse on the second half—Victor Ewald's Brass Quintet No. 3.\n\n \n\nProceeds from ticket sales in the series benefit the School of Music Scholarship Fund. Tickets on sale one hour before performances in the lobby. Cost: $10 general admission, $5 senior citizens (55+)and non-WSU students and free for WSU students with ID.
