DESCRIPTION:Ludwig Beethoven described the first of his great, “late period” sonatas, the Piano Sonata No. 28, Op. 101, as “a series of impressions and reveries.” This theme serves as the inspiration for a stylistically varied program of piano music. Pianist Michael Seregow will perform Beethoven’s masterpiece along with other ‘impressions and reveries’ by Gabriel Fauré and Claude Debussy as well as Béla Bartók’s energetic, propulsive, and virtuosic Piano Sonata.\n\nThe evening’s program will include:\n\nNocturne No. 6 in D-flat Major, Op. 63 by Gabriel Fauré\n\nNocturne No. 12 in E minor, Op. 107 by Gabriel Fauré\n\nPiano Sonata No. 28 in A Major, Op. 101 by Ludwig van Beethoven\n\nEstampes by Claude Deubssy\n\nPiano Sonata by Béla Bartók\n\nGeneral Admission: $10   Sr. Citizens (55+) &amp; non-WSU Students: $5\n\nWSU Students with ID: FREE\n\nAll proceeds from the sales of tickets will benefit the School of Music scholarship fund.
