DESCRIPTION:PROGRAM\n\nDr. Sophia Tegart, Associate Professor of Flute, will be joined on stage by Dr. Fabio Menchetti, piano; Dr. Sarah Miller, trombone and euphonium; Dr. A.J. Miller, euphonium; Dr. Chris Dickey, tuba; and Xan Perkins, tuba. This recital is based on Proust&#039;s novel &quot;In Search of Lost Time&quot; and the concept of involuntary memory. Therefore, the program is designed to highlight past social norms, places where people contemplate time, melodies that recall memories, and contemporary commentary on society and politics and their ties to the past. Works performed will include Faure&#039;s Sonata in A Major, the world premiere of Hush for flute and trombone by WSU alumnus Zachery Meier, Monuments of the West by Stephen Barr, and more!
