DESCRIPTION:Bryant Veach is 2017 graduate from WSU in Mechanical Engineering and has minored in several other disciplines including Culinary Arts. During his academic career, Bryant took on multiple job opportunities becoming a head umpire for local baseball club, lead rock climbing instructor at a local gym, domestic construction builder, machine operator, and an intern as a programmer with a smart buildings company. Currently, he is a Security Applications Engineer designing security systems for projects across a multitude of states, ranging from skyscrapers to harbors to capitol buildings, managing multi-million dollar contracts for security projects. On the side, Bryant explores other sources of revenue by investing in local start-ups, building an investment portfolio, and investment properties. Moving forward, he aims to peruse a Masters in Business Management.\n\nThis presentation is part of a semester-long seminar on the “soft”, but hard to learn, professional skills that are essential to a successful engineering career. The speakers are engineers and other members of Kitsap technology firms. Topics that will be covered in the seminar include project management, communication, ethics, process safety, divergent thinking, careers in large engineering firms, and working for global engineering firms.
