DESCRIPTION:College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Academy\n\nTeaching Tool Kit Series format\n\n\n\n 	Mini workshops are open to faculty, residents, and graduate students from the College of Veterinary Medicine and across the WSU.\n\n 	Our model: these workshops are intended to be active learning sessions. Each topic/idea will be introduced, and then the participants will  engage, interact, and sometimes begin to create a product.\n\n 	Practically, we hope that participants will come away from each session with 1 or 2 take-home lessons they might apply to their own teaching.\n\n\n\nFostering Inclusive Excellence: Building a Collaborative Learning Community\n\nPresenters: Drs. Holly Henning &amp; Cameron Peace\n\nThis interactive session will introduce participants to &quot;What Inclusive Instructors Do: Principles and Practices for Excellence in College Teaching&quot; and explore participant’s intentions and goals for reading the book together in a learning community.\n\nHolly Henning and Cameron Peace are both members of the SWANTZ Learning Community within CAHNRS and enjoy many connections with CAHNRS colleagues that strive for teaching and learning excellence.\n\n
