SUMMARY:NVIDIA DLI Workshop: Building AI Agents with Multimodal Models
LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION:NVIDIA DLI Hands-On Workshop: Building AI Agents with Multimodal Models\n\nOffered for the first time at WSU Pullman, this official NVIDIA instructor-led workshop provides hands-on experience with multimodal AI.\n\nAbout the Workshop\n\nLike humans use multiple senses, computers use diverse sensors to understand the world. Participants will develop neural-network-based multimodal models and explore fusion techniques for applications in health, robotics, and beyond.\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nParticipants will learn about:\n\n\n\n Different data types and how to prepare them for neural networks.\n\n Model fusion and the differences between early, late, and intermediate fusion.\n\n PDF extraction using optical character recognition (OCR).\n\n The difference between modality and agent orchestration.\n\n Customization of NVIDIA AI Blueprints with Video Search and Summarization (VSS).\n\n\n\nDates, Times, and Format\n\n\n\n Dates: Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, 2026.\n\n Time: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Pacific Time each day.\n\n Duration: Eight hours across two days.\n\n Format: In person at WSU Pullman.\n\n Refreshments: Pizza will be served on both days.\n\n\n\nWho Should Apply\n\nWSU students, staff, and researchers seeking a practical next step in deep learning, multimodal AI, and agentic systems.\n\nPrerequisites\n\nApplicants should have either an NVIDIA Fundamentals of Deep Learning certificate or have completed a university-level course in machine learning or a closely related area. Basic Python and neural-network knowledge are expected.\n\nInstructor\n\nDr. Parteek Kumar\n\nGold Tier NVIDIA DLI Campus Ambassador\n\nAssociate Professor (Career Track)\n\nSchool of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science\n\nWashington State University\n\nCertificate\n\nAn NVIDIA DLI certificate is available after successful completion of the assessment.\n\nCourse Information\n\nView the NVIDIA workshop course details.\n\nRegistration\n\nSeats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.\n\nRegister for the NVIDIA Building AI Agents with Multimodal Models Workshop.\n\nQuestions\n\nContact Dr. Parteek Kumar at parteek.kumar@wsu.edu.
