Palouse Outdoor Festival

About the event

The Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC) at Washington State University is holding its 4th Annual Palouse Outdoor Festival at Wawawai County Park with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m.

This is your opportunity to try rock climbing, kayaking, or stand up paddle boarding for free! On Saturday, come down to Wawawai County Park where you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at these amazing activities. There will also be great clinics for you to take advantage of, such as back-country cooking, LNT certification, and SUP yoga. In advance of National Public Lands Day, the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands, participants will have the opportunity to beautify the areas of Granite Point and Wawawai County Park.

This FREE event, hosted in partnership with the University of Idaho’s Outdoor Program, NRS, Backcountry Lark, B & L Bicycles, Paradise Creek Bicycles, Palouse Clearwater Search and Rescue, WSU Environmental Sustainability Committee, WSU Outting Club, Friends of the Clearwater, is intended to engage participants in outdoor recreation, promote environmental stewardship, showcase local resources, and foster community across the Palouse.
