DESCRIPTION:The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites all to a colloquium featuring Dr. Wolfgang Altmannshofer, Physics Department at University of California, Santa Cruz. Dr. Altmannshofer will present their talk, “A Theory Perspective on Particle Physics”.\n\n"The goal of particle physics is to identify the most fundamental building blocks of matter and understand how they interact with each other. In this colloquium I will attempt to summarize our current understanding of particle physics as well as many of the questions that are still unanswered.
