DESCRIPTION:“Wetness Is Everywhere; Why Do We See Water Somewhere?”\n\nThis question has led Dilip da Cunha’s design inquiry and practice with Anuradha Mathur for two decades. Through projects, exhibitions, studios and writings, they have critiqued the land-centric imagination that they see underlying the current ground of habitation, its subjugation of water, and its universalizing and colonizing tendencies. But they are equally invested in seeding new imaginations grounded in the particularity of place that are more accommodating of wetness, its ubiquity, complexity and propensity for openness.\n\nDilip da Cunha is an accomplished author, architect and planner based in Philadelphia and Bangalore. He is co-director of the Risk and Resilience program at the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University, and Adjunct Professor at the GSAPP, Columbia University.  Please join us for this intriguing presentation.
