DESCRIPTION:Guest lecturer and clinician Dr. Lynn Brinckmeyer will present a guest lecture geared toward future music educators of all disciplines: instrumental, general, and choral. All music students and faculty are welcome to join for her engaging presentation.\n\nDr. Brinckmeyer is Professor of Music, Associate Dean and Director of Choral Music Education at Texas State University.\n\nDuring 2006-2008 she served as President for The National Association for Music Education (formerly MENC). Dr. Brinckmeyer teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in choral music education, and she directs the Texas State treble ensemble, Aurora Voce. Each summer Dr. Brinckmeyer serves as a long-time staff member for the World Music Drumming workshops.
