SUMMARY:Team Based Learning: Once You See It, It Can’t Be Unseen
LOCATION:Animal Disease Biotech Facility (ADBF), 1855 E GRIMES WAY, Pullman, WA 99164
DESCRIPTION:College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Academy\n\n \n\nPRESENTER: Dr. Sarah Guess, Assistant Professor, Veterinary Clinical Sciences, WSU\n\n"After I had the chance to sit in on a few team-based learning (TBL) courses in the veterinary curriculum at the University of Arizona, I was curious about how it worked and if it was something that could be done in our curriculum at WSU. I did additional training over the summer, then implemented 10 hours of TBL into the fall internal medicine course in 2023. Along the way, I kept notes on my experiences learning and implementing TBL and gathered data on from the students’ perspectives, which I will share during this session."
