DESCRIPTION:The WSU Museum of Anthropology is hosting an exhibit opening on Tuesday, October 8th from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit, titled The Braceros of Today: Contratados, explores the history of seasonal farmworkers in the U.S. through two different time periods: the 1942-1962 U.S. Bracero Program and the present day work of contratados. Curated by undergraduate anthropology major Emiltze Cervantes-Contreras, the exhibit features interviews from braceros and contratados in both Spanish and English.\n\nOpening remarks begin at 4 p.m. in the Museum of Anthropology, located on the first floor of College Hall, followed by an open house with refreshments. All are welcome to attend.
