DESCRIPTION:Laboratory Safety: Creating and Maintaining an Effective Lab Safety Program\n\nPresented by Tom Ebeling, Occupational Health &amp; Safety Specialist, Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EH&amp;S), Washington State University\n\nAbstract:\n\nThis presentation will cover fundamental components of an effective laboratory safety program for WSU laboratories, including hazard assessment and levels of hazard control, chemical and physical hazard safety, lab waste management, emergency response procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) selection, and the most current Laboratory Safety Focus Areas: Chemical Hygiene Plans (CHP) and Laboratory Signage Program.\n\nBio:\n\nTom Ebeling is an Environmental Health &amp; Safety Specialist with Occupational Health &amp; Safety in the Environmental Health &amp; Safety Department (EH&amp;S).
