DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual 'Policy to Practice' keynote presentation in celebration of National TRIO Day! This year's keynote speaker is Rosie Rimando-Chareunsap EdD, Chancellor of Seattle Colleges.\n\nAn in-person watch party will be available in Lighty 260, or you can join on Zoom.\n\nAbout the Keynote Speaker\n\nRosie Rimando-Chareunsap currently serves as a Chancellor for Seattle Colleges and president of South Seattle College from 2018 until July 2022. She has been supporting the students and her community of colleagues at South since 2000, when she started as a student success specialist in the TRIO Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound programs, working with first generation college-bound youth in the area. Rosie is a leader locally and nationally as she is a leader in statewide efforts supporting DREAMer students, and other efforts to strengthen equity approaches in student affairs. Dr. Rimando-Chareunsap’s unifying leadership and big-picture perspective are going forward for many scholars. Rosie Rimando-Chareunsap holds a B.A. in English and Ethnic Studies from Washington State University (WSU), a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington, and a Doctor of Education from WSU.\n\n
