DESCRIPTION:Program\n\nThe annual Family Weekend Vocal Extravaganza Concert will take place on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 7:30pm in Bryan Hall Theatre. Featuring all five of WSU&#039;s vocal ensembles, the evening will include a wide variety of music from different styles and time periods. Opera Workshop will present a sneak preview of their program Masquerades and Mayhem, including scenes from La Cenerentola by Gioachino Rossini, Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss, and L’Elisir d’Amore by Gaetano Donizetti. WSU&#039;s four choirs will perform music about transportation and travel. Chamber Singers, our newest ensemble, will perform a set of vocal jazz and a cappella selections. University Singers will premiere a new work by WSU physics professor Guy Worthey. Treble Choir will perform selections from Persia, South Africa, Taiwan, and the United States. Concert Choir will perform works by Tchaikovsky and celebrated spiritual arranger Moses Hogan. This event is free and open to the public.
