SUMMARY:Workshop: Representations of Mexican Identity after the Mexican Revolution
LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION:#UnderTheSkin. The second workshop of the series Under the Skin: An Introspective Look at the Self will help the participants explore assumptions held about the Mexican Identity. In Dr. Yvonne Berliner's words this workshop "will explore terms like "indigenismo" and will present a historical analysis on how murals and paintings worked on crafting a new Mexican Identity after the Mexican Revolution". In this space of collaboration both Dr. Berliner and PhD Candidate Nancy Carvajal will guide the participants to co-create a painting on canvas where stereotypes, assumptions, and identities of people from Mexican descent be deconstructed and further explored. Join us in this space of sharing, dialogue, and creation. Food and materials provided. For further information on the workshop or the presenters please visit https://education.wsu.edu/events/undertheskin/
