SUMMARY:WSU Everett Repair Café
LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION:Have something you think can be fixed? Or, are you a fixer and like to help others? The Repair Café is here for you!\n\nBring your vacuums, lamps, bikes, jewelry…anything you might have and one of our volunteer fixers will diagnose the issue and do their best to make it usable again. They will show you their process, order parts if necessary, and help you learn how you can do it on your own with videos or one-on-one instruction.\n\nPlease note:\n\n\n\n We cannot fund the cost of any additional parts needed. If your item needs a part for repair, our volunteer will contact you to discuss this with you.\n\n We don’t guarantee repairs, and we are not responsible for any damages from attempting to repair an item. So, you must sign a liability release form before seeing a repair specialist.\n\n At these free repair events, we may decline to work on any item – in advance or at the event – depending on the item, the type of repair needed, the fixers available, or for other reasons. We cannot work on cell phones or Apple products.\n\n These meetups take place at locations around Snohomish County throughout the year, including libraries, colleges, and other community centers. Two item maximum per meeting. First come, first served.\n\n\n\nAbout the Repair Café\n\nThere are over 2,200 Repair Cafés worldwide. Created in 2009, Martine Postma held the first Repair Café in Amsterdam and its success generated additional Repair Cafes in Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, India, Japan and many other countries. The result? People with repair expertise pass along invaluable practical skills, items are being used longer and don’t have to be thrown away. This reduces the volume of raw materials and energy needed to make new products and cuts CO2 emissions which help towards a more sustainable society.\n\nFor more information on Repair Cafes visit: https://www.repaircafe.org/en/
