Faculty Artist Series: American Discoveries: Scott-Garrison Duo

American Discoveries highlights recently composed music for flute, clarinet and piano in a variety of combinations. The flute and clarinet as chamber ensemble is a relatively new entity, with the first significant repertoire composed in the early twentieth century. The repertoire, while not extensive, is strongly represented by compositions of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The Scott-Garrison Duo  has been performing since 1988 and has two critically acclaimed recordings on the internationally recognized and peer-reviewed Albany Records label, Barn Dances and Perennials.  The Duo is a charter member of the Flute-Clarinet Duos Consortium, a nationally based commissioning

All proceeds from the sales of tickets will benefit the School of Music scholarship fund. Tickets are available in the lobby thirty minutes before concert time.
