Faculty Artist Series: En Chamade and The Washington State University Faculty Brass Quintet with Julie Anne Wieck—Soloist

The Washington State University School of Music will present a concert featuring En Chamade and the WSU Faculty Brass Quintet. The concert will take place in Bryan Hall Theatre on Friday, September 30th, starting at 8:00 p.m. En Chamade (the David Turnbull and Jill Schneider trumpet and organ duo) will perform music from the Renaissance, Baroque and 21st Century, and they will end the first half with an arrangement of “Danny Boy.” The Faculty Brass Quintet features David Turnbull and Matthew Glover on trumpet; Martin King on horn, Sarah Miller on trombone; and Christopher Dickey on tuba. They will accompany Julie Wieck, soprano as she performs Anthony Plog’s “Four Sierra Scenes.” The quintet will then perform Michael Forbes “Four Miniatures,” and the evening will end with the group joining forces with Jill Schneider in a performance of the Sigfrid Karg-Elert “Nun danket alle Gott.”

All proceeds from the sales of tickets will benefit the School of Music scholarship fund. Tickets are available in the lobby thirty minutes before concert time.
