SURCA 2022, the annual Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities, will feature the poster presentations of around 200 students engaged in mentored research, scholarship, and creative activities. Undergraduates from all majors, years in college, and campuses will discuss their work and results across nine categories. Judges’ evaluations will determine top presenters, who will receive awards. SURCA 2022 will be in person in Pullman; presenters at a distance will use virtual technologies to participate.

WSU is turning 132 this year, and the WSU Alumni Association is celebrating with FREE cake for students, faculty, and staff on the Pullman campus. Stop by the WSU Alumni Association tent on the Todd Hall Steps beginning at 11:00 a.m. and help celebrate our university. The cake will be served until it’s gone, so come early to make sure you don’t miss out!
Current electric power grid is undergoing transition due to the rapid penetration of distributed energy resources (DER) in distribution and subtransmission systems. Geographically, broadly dispersed DERs, with complex communication and computation systems, are expected to improve the power grid resilience if these smart DER capabilities are secured and coordinated with power system management.

The DTC Expert Series continues on 3/28 @ 4pm (PST) with Eric Limburg, the Creative Director for Washington State University, where he sets the creative vision for all of WSU’s marketing and communications campaigns, overseeing the visual design and development that brings WSU’s brand and communications to life, and leading the Visual Design team in University Marketing and Communications.
Every year in March, SEL plans an event that highlight and celebrate women in the STEM field. For this year, they will have panelists from their company come to visit WSU and share their journey, answer questions and in the last 30 mins leave room for networking / recruiting opportunities for students!
