Tribute to outstanding achievement in retirement.

The annual Legacy of Excellence Lecture features a professor emeritus who, in retirement, continues to make outstanding contributions to academia, the University, and the community. The Emerit Society honors the speaker with the Legacy of Excellence Award in recognition of these achievements.

This year’s honoree is Nicholas P. Lovrich, Ph.D. (Senior Research Affiliate, Emeritus Regents Professor in the School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs).Dr. Lovrich has published in major journals in the fields of Political Science, Public Administration, and Criminal Justice. He serves on the advisory Committee to the Washington State Center for Court Research in the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) as a representative of the state’s academic community.
