The symposium will bring together approximately 350–400 attendees including undergraduate students, faculty, clinicians, and healthcare professionals across Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, and allied health. The event will include a healthcare career panel, research presentations, professional headshots, networking opportunities, and hands-on clinical workshops. The event is open to students from ALL majors who are interested in learning more about careers in healthcare.
Dr. Trevor Hayton from UC Santa Barbara will present a seminar titled “Using NMR Spectroscopy to Evaluate Actinide–Ligand Bond Covalency.” His talk will explore how NMR spectroscopy can be applied to measure 5f covalency in actinide complexes, offering insights into designing new separation schemes for spent nuclear fuel.
