About the event

The event will be held to celebrate Bangladeshi culture.

Association for Bangladeshi Students & Scholars (ABSS) at Washington State University is a non-political and non-profit organization for Bangladeshi students, scholars, and alumni at WSU. With the goal of representing Bangladeshi culture and promoting community engagement, ABSS at WSU is also connecting the multiethnic, multicultural, and diverse WSU community since its formation as an RSO. In acknowledgment of its collaborative endeavors aimed at enhancing the WSU community, ABSS was honored with the GPSA RSO Excellence Award for the year 2022-2023. Among its’ many other achievements, the President’s Leadership and Engagement Awards of Distinction (LEAD) 2016 and GPSA RSO Excellence Award Fall 2015 are noteworthy. The Bangladeshi Night is the flagship event of the Bangladeshi community at Pullman, Washington.

The event pageants musical performances, classical and modern dances, poetry recitations, plays, traditional ramp/fashion shows etc. which highlights Bengali culture. The audience of approximately 250 attendees consists of WSU’s students, faculties, staff and alumni and their friends and families.

A feast is thrown with a menu consisting of numerous mouthwatering delicacies that exhibits the delicious Bengali cuisines.
