About the event
WSU Jazz Band II under the direction of Branson Bell, will present WSU Jazz Showcase. The band will perform a broad selection of big band tunes composed by Bob Mintzer, Neal Hefti, and more. They will feature many of the universities most dedicated student musicians who represent multiple colleges from WSU. The students are dedicated and talented musicians who are excited to present this music.
WSU Jazz Band II received high praise at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival this year with multiple soloists receiving recognition for outstanding solos. The bands adjudicator praised the bands approach to balance saying it was one of the best he had heard during the festival this year.
