5:00 p.m. In-person keynote address “China’s President Xi Jinping: Reformer, Emperor, or Authoritarian Nationalist?” by Richard J. Ellings, president, National Bureau of Asian Research

China’s rapid emergence as a global player and potential partner in many U.S. policy priorities ensures that Sino-American relations will directly affect citizens in both countries. Dr. Kissinger draws on his experience as national security advisor and secretary of state, and his years of teaching at Harvard University, to put the current state of U.S.–China relations in perspective and to present potential policy courses for the future.

China Town Hall is a national day of programming on China, offered by the National Committee on United States–China Relations. WSU Pullman is one of about 70 participating venues nationwide.

Sponsored by the Asia Program at WSU with support from the Department of History
