Cougs Care: Fat Kitty City — El Dorado Hills, CA
Meet-Up Location
Volunteer Location

About the event
Volunteer alongside fellow Sacramento & Reno Cougs at Fat Kitty City, Northern California’s only true cat sanctuary, on Saturday, May 6. Fat Kitty City Humane Society (FKC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter and medical aid to abandoned or abused animals. Volunteers will be assisting with some necessary spring cleaning: clearing the grounds, fixing structures, and anything else the sanctuary needs.
Volunteers should bring work gloves, warm layers, and wear Coug gear that won’t be damaged by dirt. Plan to meet at Safeway on Francisco Drive at 8:00 a.m. Pacific for those who would like to grab a cup of coffee or breakfast at Starbucks. Then, we’ll drive over to the sanctuary as a group at 8:35 a.m. Pacific. Afterwards, anyone who is interested can grab lunch at a nearby establishment.
- Volunteers MUST be 12 years old or older to participate. Attendees between the ages of 12-18 must have a parent or adult with them.
- Register to attend by Friday, April 28, at noon Pacific on the WSU Alumni Association website. We look forward to seeing you there!
- Food and beverages are available for individual purchase for breakfast and/or lunch at nearby establishments.
