Cougs Care: The Animal Foundation
About the event
Calling all Las Vegas Cougs! Looking for an opportunity to help animals in need? Look no further than volunteering at The Animal Foundation. A nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, The Animal Foundation of Las Vegas was founded in 1978 as a low-cost spay and neuter clinic and is one of the highest volume single-site animal shelters in America. Las Vegas Cougs will be volunteering their time on Sunday, April 23, from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Pacific.
Volunteers will participate in:
- Deep cleaning kennels
- DIY dog and cat toys
- Preparing enrichment items like t-shirts or pillowcase treats
- Cleaning windows
- Wiping down furniture
- Laundry
- And more!
Volunteers must:
- Be 18+
- OR be a minor accompanied by their parent or legal guardian (at all times) – one guardian per child
Dress code:
- Close-toed, nonslip shoes
- No tank tops
- No shorts
Space is limited, so sign up on the WSU Alumni Association website by Friday, April 14, at noon Pacific! Wear your comfortable Coug gear, and we’ll see you there!
Cost
Free to attend.
EACH volunteer needs to complete the volunteer waiver prior to April 14.
