Creating Thriving Organizations: Fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in your workplace
About the event
Creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable community in our institutions benefits us socially, emotionally, and financially. It also establishes a sense of belonging, trust, and dedication for individuals throughout an organization. Fostering DEI starts with a deeper knowledge of self, followed by skills to engage in meaningful dialogue with others around emotionally fraught topics.
In this workshop, you will explore:
- the multidimensionality of identity,
- identify and manage your own biases and blind spots,
- model behaviors that foster inclusion and equity, and
- learn how to respond effectively to exclusionary or insensitive behaviors.
