About the event

The 8th Annual CrimsonCode Hackathon is going live at WSU-Pullman on February 22 – 23rd 2020! We proudly present this event with our title sponsor Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. We are also sponsored by Expeditors, Digital Ocean, Wolfram Language, Insomnia Cookies, Kamiak Coffee Company, Monster Energy, and StickerMule. At CrimsonCode our mission is to create a inclusive environment where participants with diverse backgrounds and perspectives can come and be inspired and innovate.

The CrimsonCode Hackathon is a 24+ hour event that provides a venue for self-expression and creativity through the use of technology. We encourage participants of all majors and skill level to come together in teams to solve a problem they see with technology, or simply see the creation general project ideas, all from scratch. Volunteers and industry mentors from our sponsors will be onsite to help you along the way! Not to mention the whole hacker community around you working on their own projects who can lend a quick hand.

CrimsonCode is completely free, fully catered, and no previous coding experience is necessary. This event is a great place to meet new people and network with different majors, industry professionals, professors, and more! Even though this event is to focus on personal growth and development of technical skills, towards the end of the Hackathon participants will have the opportunity to present their projects science fair style to judges who will choose winners for prizes.

Don’t have a team? No ideas for a project? Don’t worry! Prior to the event, there will be plenty of networking activities to help find teammates and brainstorm ideas. If you are interested or have any questions regarding the hackathon, please visit our website and follow us on facebook, twitter, and instagram
