About the event

Adraine Weber graduated from the University of Washington in 1985 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  She has worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility for over 34 years.   Adraine was lead engineer for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems and has experience working on a variety of other equipment.  As part of the Shipyard’s recruiting team, she has attended Career Fairs and conducted job interviews throughout the country.  Currently, Adraine is a Branch Manager in the Engineering & Planning Department.

This presentation is part of a semester-long seminar on the “soft”, but hard to learn, professional skills that are essential to a successful engineering career. The speakers are engineers and other members of Kitsap technology firms. Topics that will be covered in the seminar include project management, communication, ethics, process safety, divergent thinking, careers in large engineering firms, and working for global engineering firms.
