About the event
This talk will address several key issues in the course of risk-based decision-making for resilient infrastructure systems exposed to evolving conditions.
First, the talk will introduce possible dynamic changes in the conditions in which critical infrastructure systems are situated and their potential effects on life-cycle performance. Next, dynamic risk assessment will be introduced as a way of capturing evolving conditions to better assess potential risks. Finally, adaptive decision methodology will be utilized to update risk management strategies aimed at improving the ability of infrastructure systems to respond successfully to future changes and surprises and to achieve their long-term resilience goals.
