About the event
Overview: Soon after Edison started supplying electricity to customers and Steinmetz gave us the ability to analyze large AC circuits, the power companies started interconnecting for economic and reliability benefits, resulting in today’s continent-wide power grids. What made it possible to plan and operate these grids, the largest man-made machines ever developed, is the utilization of computer, communication and control technologies, which resulted in the smart grid whose evolution continues.
