Faculty Artist Series: Dave Snider, Solo Bass

Blue Funk Jailbreak, a band of local musicians directed by WSU music instructor Dave Snider, will play music that spans styles – including blues, funk, fusion, reggae and jazz fusion – at 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, in Kimbrough Hall.
Compositions arranged by Snider will include “School Days,” by Stanley Clarke, “Strasbourg Saint Denis,” by Roy Hargrove, “Stratus,” by Billy Cobham, “Tune 88,” by Jeff Lorber and “Hurricane Season,” by Trombone Shorty. Extended solos will be performed by band members: keyboard/saxophonist Brian Dyre, drummer Tom Garrett, guitarist Axel Krings and trombonist Setty Waroffa.
General Admission: $10 Sr. Citizens & non-WSU Students: $5
WSU Students with ID: FREE
All proceeds from the sales of tickets will benefit the School of Music scholarship fund. Tickets are available in the lobby thirty minutes before concert time.
