Faculty Artist Series: The Farewell Recital: Ann Yasinitsky, flute

AnnYasinitsky2016Ann Marie Yasinitsky, WSU Professor of Flute, is presenting her Farewell Recital on Tuesday, March 22nd, at 8:00pm, in Bryan Hall Theatre on the WSU Campus, as part of the WSU Faculty Artist Series. This will be Ann’s last recital as a faculty member. After twenty-five years of service and countless performances for the WSU community, she is retiring from WSU. Performing with her for her Farewell Recital is long-time collaborator Gerald Berthiaume, WSU Professor of Piano.

 

The program will include a number of Ann’s favorite French and American works including the Sonatas of Francis Poulenc and Robert Mucynski, the Sonatine of Pierre Sancan and “Sixth Sense” composed by her husband, Greg Yasinitsky, Director of the School of Music.

 

Ann is a favorite performer of Northwest audiences. She is an award-winning flutist who has released a number of acclaimed CDs which are broadcast around the world. She has performed throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe, and is Principal Flutist with the Washington Idaho Symphony.

 

General admission: $10; seniors and non-WSU students, $5; WSU students with ID, free.
All proceeds from the sales of tickets will benefit the School of Music scholarship fund. Tickets are available in the lobby thirty minutes before concert time.
