On his spring FAS recital, Christopher Wilson will be performing three works for solo marimba! The first half will feature David Maslanka’s “A Solemn Music,” which was included in Dr. Wilson’s 2025 album “Solemn Music: Marimba Solos by David Maslanka.” Wilson’s album was the premiere recording of this work, and it was praised for having “profound beauty.” The recital will conclude with Jennifer Stasack’s “Six Elegies Dancing” and Joseph Schwantner’s “Velocities.”
